  1. conundrum regarding audio

Hi I have my laptop mirrored with my 55 ins tv I have recently purchased a Behringer mixing desk

I cannot get the laptop to send audio to the mixing desk no signal shows in any input be it line channels or the rca inputs on the desk which is brand new

The audio comes from my tv into the laptop and I would have thought the line out in the laptop would send it to my mixing desk but no signal shows I have tried so many combinations including disconnecting the tv and just using the laptop with a different audio source but still nothing happens.

On my previous desk I just took a line out to in on the desk and a stereo line out of the desk into the laptop in port and everything worked fine I even tried taking a usb cable from the tv to the laptop to use the same audio source but nothing happened.

I can do anything on the laptop with the tv sound including recording into Audacity for example using the tv audio yet I cannot get the laptop to pass the signal through to my external mixing desk the desk registers nothing I know the desk works because my microphone and effects unit both work and show the digital lights in the main faders and sound to the head phones yet the backing tracks from the laptop show nothing both soundwise or visually by leds I cannot fathom why I cannot resolve this so after 8 hours of trying anyone can help please

    Chris

    conundrum regarding audio

    Conundrum...

Yes, I used a big word.
    But that's not the conundrum.

I can get 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card
for the same price as a good 560TI.

    What would you do/suggest?
Will be running on an AMD 990 board with a phenom II x6 and 16gb of DDR3x1600
