Windows 10: conversion .pdf in word in win 10 version 20H2

Version W 10 Pro version 20H2. You cannot open a PDF file in Microsoft Office 2019 Professional Plus x94. You will always see only a warning with the text, "Word cannot start the PDF Files converter. Can you help me?

This is how you should do it apparently:

Note this involves conversion of the pdf to a format Word understands. Word isn't a pdf editor in the true sense, so presumably doesn't register itself as potentially capable of handling pdfs. Thus the option isn't where you are looking.

You may be able to force it to be by assigning Word as your default by browsing to it in the Open With list, and checking the box at the bottom.

Regarding your PDF documents, the location will be based on where you saved the files. For your second inquiry, your documents can be converted to a PDF. If the original file is from Office Word, we suggest that you follow the steps below:
