Windows 10: Convert Admin level user account in Win11 to Family Safety child account

My young son is the sole user of a computer that was set up under his email address. The account is set up as the main admin user. No other user accounts on the device. A need has emerged to more closely monitor and limit use. Is there a way for parents to elegantly convert this account to a Family Safety child account? We have MS accounts and can use those preferably as the adult accounts receiving reports and setting limits. But is there a way to convert an existing regular account to a Family Safety child account when it was the only user account on the device?Thank you!

Changing Adult Account to Child Account

Hi Peter,

To rectify your issue in converting an account from child/teen to an adult, we suggest that you try these steps and see if it helps.

• Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
• Click Accounts.
• Click Family and other users on the left pane.
• Select the adult account and click Change account type.

My admin account switched to a user account!

My account may have gotten corrupt in the update, Don't know for sure.
I do know this, This mess is way above my paygrade...LOL...
I really need some help to try to fix this issue.
The attachments can explain far better than me trying type what exactly is going on.
All I can say it's looks pretty darn complicated to me.
I hoping it looks worse than it is.




















I think the simplest way to address this is to make my account an administrator again.
If it can be done, I'm going to need a step by step on how to do it.
