Converting a Microsoft Storage Space Device back to a regular storage space?

I've been having a lot of issues lately with my computer, namely that one of the disks keeps clocking at 100%. I thought that the way to fix this would be to basically reinstall windows 10 and format my storage. It helped a little, but the issue still seems to be present.I did more digging around today to see if I couldn't find more information, and it turns out that one of my drives, a 2.7TB drive, is being held hostage as a Microsoft Storage Space Device, which googling around tells me that MSSDs have been a bit infamous for causing performance issues and disk overclock. So I wanted to know..

    :)

    Hi Misa

Please Note the following process will remove you drive form storage spaces, it will also wipe that drive back to Unallocated Space

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

    Go to System - Storage

    Click 'Manage Storage Spaces'

Click 'Change Settings' and if necessary, confirm that choice

On that drive, click 'Prepare for Removal'

That drive will be listed as 'Preparing for removal'

Wait until that drive is listed as ' Ready to remove', Click Remove - Remove Drive

Then open Disk Management (accessible by right clicking your Start Button

Right clcik the Unallocated space on that drive and choose 'New - Simple Volume' then accept the defaults

You will then have a full clean drive ready to use . . .
