Windows 10: Converting my win 7 license to win 10 without installing it?

I have a win 7 install disk, and I don't want to loose the chance to have windows 10 for free, is there a way to convert it without installing it.

If not I have some old computer that probably can install win 7 then upgrade to 10. But will I be able to erase it and install it on a new computer later on.

I currently have a computer with windows 10 (different license). I also have a USB key.

What are my options?

Anyway, the license is not a problem. As far as I get it, my license is linked with my Microsoft account. Moreover, I can write it down on paper to activate Win 10 on the new computer.

The problem is that license without Windows to apply on is pointless. I need to install Win 10 on new computer and then to apply the license key. How can I install Win on bare computer is the problem, as I have no installation disc. My Win 10 was upgraded
from Win 7.

What I need to do? To install Win 7 on the new one, then to upgrade to Win 10, if still possible, because I am not sure if this upgrade is still available for free. Even in that case I don't need license for Win 10 as I will install genuine Win 7.

Other option I am considering is to install the old HDD and then to try to transfer to the new HDD.

I am not expert and don't know if my thread of thinking is correct. Can I make installation disk/flash from my old computer and then install Win 10 on the new one and then to activate it with the license?

Reverting to original license in windows 10

Windows 7 key is not embedded as win 8 is. He will need the original win 7 pro key since Enterprise is not actually activated. It cannot be activated without a volume license. Only windows 10 Pro was eligible to install on a win 7 pro computer. Enterprise
is not part of the free upgrade offer. The tech was wrong to have installed Enterprise.

The original Win 10 upgrade was never completely installed so there is no activated license to retrieve. If there is a sticker with the activation key on the computer, that can be used to activate Win 10 Pro.

 

Make an image of the Windows 7 you have now (I recommend Macrium Reflect). Upgrade it to Windows 10 on the same computer to establish the digital entitlement which will be stored on Microsoft activation servers. Restore the image of Windows 7 you made. You can try Windows internal revert to previous OS feature but it doesn't work very well.

Windows 10 upgrades from previous OS will not transfer from computer to computer.

 

I eared one of the windows 10 update was about not having to install window 7 before upgrading. How can I do that?
