    Each time I download and/or save a PDF my computer saves it as a Word file--everytime. It used to save them as Adobe files, and I have the latest Adobe reader. A month ago, this changed, and I have not been able to reverse it. I hope someone can help me get rid of this problem. I keep my virus and spyware updated and haven't had any bugs that I've been alerted to. I have Windows 10. I tried this "Go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Associate a file type or protocol with a program and then scroll down to the pdf file type. If it is not set to Adobe Rea

    Word automatically converting to pdf

    When I open up a word document, sent by email, word automatically converts the word document to a pdf which throws the layout out. How do I stop it from doing this?

    The documents have been sent to me from other people and are saved as word documents when I open them a box comes up on word saying 'word will now automatically convert this document to pdf'.
