Windows 10: Copilot dissappearing after opening but reappears on the taskbar when restarted

Hi! I'd like to know what seems to be the problem with Copilot. I had no problem whatsoever with Copilot but I think its getting bugged. Whenever I open my Laptop Windows 11, copilot just dissappear on my taskbar. I tried solutions like turning it on in the personalisation settings but it isn't there. But when I restart my laptop, copilot suddenly goes back to my taskbar. Any fix pls? I don't want to keep restarting my laptop just to use Copilot. I want Copilot to be actually opened when my laptop is OPENED. Pls help. Cheers.

Clicking on Copilot taskbar button or pressing Win + C does not open Copilot

I am using Dev build 23606 with the newest Edge version and I have the copilot feature. However, clicking the copilot icon on the taskbar does not open copilot. The copilot pane that should appear on the right side of the screen does not appear. This problem occurred after I installed Build 23595. At first Copilot is working but after I opened and closed it a few times, the next time I tried to open it, Copilot does not open. The button responds by coloring its background white but the Copilot pane does not open. I've tried the following:

-Using the run dialogue to open microsoft-edge://?ux=copilot&tcp=1&source=taskbar

-Restarting

-Resetting Microsoft Edge settings and then restarting

-Toggling the Copilot taskbar button on and then off in Settings -> Personalization -> Taskbar

 

Taskbar Disappears After Copilot is Opened

Whenever I click the Copilot icon in the taskbar, after Copilot opens my taskbar disappears. The easiest way for me to fix that is to go into the Taskbar Settings and into its behavior section and toggle the auto-hide taskbar on and off. I always have auto-hide set to off but after the taskbar disappears, I just toggle this to get it back.



Is anyone else having this issue with the taskbar disappearing after Copilot is opened? Even after I close the Copilot window the taskbar remains hidden.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to download and install any pending updates that needs to be installed on the computer through Windows update and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Also check if the Taskbar is in Auto hide mode:

  Right click at the bottom of the screen.

  Click on properties and under Taskbar tab
  
• 
  Place a check mark on Hide Taskbar.
  

If the issue persists, restart Windows explorer and check the status.

1. Press Alt+ctr+Del from Desktop.

2. Select Task Manager.

3. Under process tab, locate Windows Explorer.

4. Right Click Windows Explorer and select
End Task.

5. Now select on File tab and click
Run Task.

6. Type explorer.exe and press ok.

7. Check if the issue persists.

If the above steps doesn’t work, I suggest you to create a new account and check if the issue persists in new account.
