HOW DO I TURN COPILOT OFF?All the advice from you and other sites does not work. Copilots advice does not work. I want this AI **** off my machine now, it is acting like a virus respawning itelf in the registry when I try and delete it. Its not on my taskbar, I have never chosen to add it, but look halfway through doing anything it appears like the abhorent son of clippy that it is and destroys all my work, **** my system up, often causes it to crash and otherwise screws up whatever I am doing. I do not want you to install AI on my machine.PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO REMOVE THIS NOW!PS. Kill all the

Copilot randomly got removed from taskbar options.

I can understand how frustrating it is when an essential feature like copilot disappears unexpectedly.

Here are few steps to fix this issue.

1. Open Settings.
   
   Click on Personalization.
   
   In Taskbar, check if the Copilot toggle is off. If so, turn it on.
   
2. If Group Policy Editor isn’t working, try these steps:
   
   • Press Win + R, and enter gpedit.msc.
     
   • Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar.
     
   • Look for any policies related to Copilot and ensure they’re not disabled.

How to disable copilot in Windows 11 23H2?

There is a solution to keep Copilot out of your eyesight, it does not permanently remove or uninstall Copilot from your Windows 11 environment. Microsoft is persistent and Copilot is inevitable, not to mention the latest computers are equipped with a dedicated Copilot Key in the keyboard. Hence, it is up to us to get used to this feature, and also the field of AI is exponentially increasing, so it is better to get used to it. However, the simple solution is to disable copilot via Taskbar as you mentioned that Policy Editor didn't help. The following are the steps.

• Go to Windows Settings.
  
• Click on Personalization.
  
• Under Taskbar, you can find Copilot (preview)
