Windows 10: Copy a doc to clipboard.

How do I copy an entire doc not just the visible screen so I could paste to WordPad and save it. I do not want to scroll down to end with snipe app.

Windows does not have a clipboard manager, basically anything you copy to the clipboard is just held in RAM until you paste it somewhere . . .

If you copied a doc file to the clipboard from say File Explorer, you need to paste it somewhere and then open it

If you copied the contents of a doc file, you need to paste that into a blank document to edit it . .

 

Does hibernate save windows clipboard copy file ?

The clipboard is NOT a file. It holds its data in memory.

The clipboard data does survive a hibernation.

You could easily answer the question yourself like so:

1. Press PrtSc
2. Hibernate
3. Return from hibernation
4. Open Word
5. Press Ctrl+V to paste the clipboard's contents.

 

Clipboard multiple copy window bug - suggestion

When we want to use the list of copied things in clipboard using 'Window key symbol' & 'v', we have the following issue:

If we have many or long list of copied things or texts, and when we are scrolling down, the title "Clipboard. Clear All" will scroll up with our scrolling, where it shouldn't, because we may want to clear all the items where we are surfing or pinning some items of the list and want to clear the others (avoiding rerolling upward)
