Windows 10: Copy old PC to new PC

I have recently purchased a new PC with an SSD drive and tried Laplink software to transfer old to new. After many attempts it has not worked and I'm struggling to do this.

There are other programs out there or can someone advise on another method.

Is it just as simple as putting HD from old PC into the new one???

Installing my registered copy of W10 on a new PC

I have recently purchased a new PC. It comes with a copy of W10 home installed (not activated) on a 1TB HDD but I also have a 240GB SSD installed.

I was wondering if it is possible to copy my retail version of W10 pro (activated by digital license) on my old pc onto the new ssd and what steps I need to take to do this?

Beginner – Transferring files from old PC to new PC, both running windows 10.

I'm trying to find a solution in layman terms please.

Bought a new PC running windows 10, my existing PC runs windows 10 and I just want to transfer everything from old to new machine – what is the best way to do this so that when I go to my new PC it's effectively set up the same as my old PC?

I use Microsoft Outlook 2013 for my email and I'm about to buy a copy of office 2016.

I intend to use windows 10 backup to copy my files to an external drive on my old PC, can I then use this backup to restore the files to my new PC?

Also, can anyone suggest a good antivirus/malware program to run on my old PC to make sure not taking any "problems" with me?
