Windows 10: Copy Paste Between Microsoft Apps locks windows for 2 minutes

HiOn Windows 10. If I copy and paste something from one Microsoft App to another, eg copy text from MS Notes and try to paste to an Outlook email I am writing, the destination app ie in this case Outlook, is locked and greyed out for 2 minutes until finally the pasted text arrives.I've noticed apmsgfwd is running, and if I kill this process in the task manager, the outlook window is unlocked, so I can then carry on using it, but obviously now the paste operation has been killed so I dont see any pasted text. I kill this process this as its far quicker to type the text in the destination past

Copy & Paste in Microsoft Mail App - Windows 10

Hello,

I have tried searching for the answer for this, but couldn't find an answer in any of the now locked posts.

I have tried copy & pasting into the mail app, but nothing happens. I can copy & paste everywhere else. I have used the Ctrl + C to copy, and then Ctrl + V to paste. Nothing. I have tried using the mouse. Nothing. I tried pasting into the subject field and
the to field, and the app crashed.

The app is updated. The app has been reset. Still, this issue continues.

If anyone has any suggestions that I have NOT tried yet, let me know. Thanks.

 

Cannot paste into Windows Mail

Hi,

To help you with your concern, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how to clear the clipboard in Windows 10:

• On the search box, kindly type or copy and paste, cmd.exe /c cd 2>"%UserProfile%\empty.txt" & clip < "%UserProfile%\empty.txt".
• Click on cmd.exe /c cd 2>"%UserProfile%\empty.txt" & clip < "%UserProfile%\empty.txt"
  (Run command).
• Try to use the copy and paste function again.

If the issue still persists, we suggest that you repair or reset the Mail app. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Open Settings, and select Apps.
  
• On the Apps & features tab, find the name of the missing app. Click the app and select
  Advanced options (if available).
• If a Repair option is available, click Repair. If this option is not available, or if Repair does not resolve the issue, you may also try the
  Reset option, though you might lose any app data that was saved.
