Windows 10: Copy - skipped files report

I should've probably used a specialized tool for that, but now that I did it with windows... I copied ~11000 files from 1 HDD to another, and out of habit, clicked 'do not ask again' and "skip" when there was a problem.due to a hardware problem that's why I'm copying from it, the process that is still ongoing takes around 4 days, and I already had it copying for 1 day.now, where can I see a list of all skipped files initial and possibly after so I can attempt to copy them again once it's finished, or at least try to see if they're important?Thanks in advance

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

Skip or replace files dialog box missing while copying files with same names

I understand that you are not receiving the option to skip or replace the files, while copying files with same names. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.

1. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?

Meanwhile, you can follow the suggestion mentioned below and see if that helps.



Method 1:



Try resetting the File Explorer settings to defaults and see if that helps.

1. Press Windows +
   E key to open File Explorer.
   
2. Now click on View and click on
   Options.
   
3. On the Folder
   Options window click on Restore Defaults.
   
4. Now click on View tab and click on
   Restore Defaults.
   

Try copying the files with same names and see if you get the Skip or replace option window.



Method 2:



Uncheck the Folder Merge Conflicts option and see if that helps. Kindly follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Press Windows +
   E key to open File Explorer.
   
2. Now click on View and click on
   Options.
   
3. On the Folder
   Options window click on View tab.
   
4. Under Advanced
   settings scroll down and uncheck the option Hide
   folder merge conflicts.
   
5. Click on Apply and
   OK.
