  1. Copying and transferring encrypted files

I am trying to move a series of encrypted image and pdf files used within a FileMaker Pro database from my Dell Windows 10 Pro 2015 laptop to a flash drive and then to my Dell Window 10 Home 2020 desktop computer. Each of the file icons have a little lock image on them. I was able to Copy and Paste the files and their folders from laptop onto flash drive without problem. Now that I'm trying to Copy and Paste them from flash drive to desktop computer, I get an "Interrupted Action" message that says "Do you want to copy this folder without encryption? A problem is preventing this folder from being encrypted. I think I want to copy them intact, not without their original encryption. What's going wrong and how do I solve this?

    :)

Need to encrypt the DVDS for copying!!

Hello everybody, I have a collection of DVDS and would like to continue with that. I sometimes do make copies of the original ones if I am not able to get them but the problem is that some are encrypted and couldn’t be copied. I am looking for a tool that can copy the encrypted ones and be efficient in speed and quality too.

    Hope to get your suggestions!!!!

    File Encryption

    Yes,

That is indeed the way to do it. Please observe the following:

    • Turning off the encryption setting does not remove encryption
    • Hard resetting your device destroys the only copy of the encryption key, and thus your access to these precious pictures.
I would suggest copying them reguraly, or you can automate this using Microsoft's MyPhone service (free).
