    I removed the c: drive from my old computer, using my drive copy hardware I attached the old drive to my new PC.1 the subdirectory "users/my name" seemed to be empty--eventually it "needed my permission to be read", that subdirectory had 54.8 gb of data, why did it initially balk?2 on my old computer several of my external drives were redirected to files on the c: drive [an external drive appears as a file "old p drive"3 I just want to do a file copy* of the old c: drive, using file explorer's copy process, it seems to also be copying the data from the actual redirected drives, I d

    I would suggest you to follow the steps below:


    • Press Windows key + X.

    • Click file explorer from the list.

    • Select the CD/DVD drive and hit Enter.

    • Select the files you want to copy from the CD/DVD, then select the drive where you want to paste or save.

    Java.nio.file - Copying files

    You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
    You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one
