Windows 10: Core isolation not possible because of xusb21.sys

I got this error when trying to enable core isolation and ive looked for this driver in cmd, device manager, and autoruns but it doesn't appear anywhere, so I don't know what to do.

Core Isolation not possible because driver cannot be located

Open Command Prompt as Administrator.

Run the command:

• sc.exe qc xusb21
  

In the output, if the BINARY_PATH_NAME reads xusb21.sys, then run this command to delete the driver:

• sc.exe delete xusb21
  

Reboot if required. Then, delete the driver file xusb21.sys manually from C:\Windows\System32\Drivers.

 

I have a driver usb2ser.sys that won't work with core isolation

have a similar issue. mine has usb2ser.sys as well as 2 other drivers (some wireless xbox 360 controller xusb21.sys and asus aichargerplus.sys)
of the 3, only aicharger has an entry in autoruns which i've unticked since.
usb2ser.sys and xusb21.sys reside in system32/driverstore/
aicharger resides in sysWOW64/drivers

reboot has been done a few times and still can't enable isolation.

so... how do i go about removing the drivers from the system without borking it? and why is core isolation blocked by unused drivers hiding in the old driver repository?

should i bother enabling isolation?

ps.. a bit lost with cliff s' post... did it point to something at some point?

Core Isolation preventing a driver from loading

The driver "gdvr3.sys" was causing core isolation to turn off. After turning it back on and restarting, get the message that Core Isolation has blocked the driver from loading. However, it is not showing up under problems when I look under core isolation details. Not sure what next steps need to be.
