Windows 10: Corel PhotoImpact 13 fails to start with latest Windows 11. Please Help I need to work :

Corel PhotoImpact 13 fails to start with latest Windows 11. updates I've been using Photoimpact 13 for many years, and it has worked fine under many versions of Windows, including Windows 11 until just recently. The program puts up its loading screen, waits a while and then goes away. It's failing on two desktop systems. When I load Photoimpact x3 , it freezes during the splash screen with the windows pop up saying :"Photoimpact Launcher stopped working", then I have to close the program or wait for it to response.Anyone has an idea about what's happening?Seems I have a serious issue whith th

I verified that PhotoImpact was failing again and then installed Windows 10 Feature Update 1903. After the installation, PhotoImpact works OK.

On the other system I verified that PhotoImpact was failing and then attempted to install Windows 10 Feature Update 1903; however, it failed to install. I'm trying it again. In any case PhotoImpact 13 started working after the failed install.

So I'm fixed.

I understand that you are unable to open Corel Photoimpact 13 on your computer, we will look into this for you. However, in order to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps, please reply with the following details:

• Do you read any error message?
  
• Does this issue occur with any other application?
  
• Which update was installed on the computer? To check go to
  Settings >> Update & Security >> Windows Update >> View update history.
  

This could be due to background apps or services preventing the application to run. We can try performing a clean boot on the computer and check if that helps in resolving the issue.



Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer. However,
that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.

If performing a clean boot fixes the issue then, please refer to the section
How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot
to check which program is causing the issue.



Note: Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting
to boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting.



Since Corel Photoimpact 13 is an older program, I suggest you to try running it in compatibility mode and check. Please refer the steps mentioned in the article

Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows.

Corel Photoimpact 13 fails to start with latest Windows 10 updates

1. There were no error messages except what I found in the Event Log on previous attempts to run Photoimpact 13 on the two computers. The program just winks out.

2. No other programs I know of are affected.

3. I have been away for a few weeks, and haven't run PhotoImpact for perhaps a month, so many updates could be related, basically all of the cumulative updates, KB4507435, KB4023057, KB0234057, KB4503286 and KB4503308.

At this point I am going to install the Version 1903 Feature update and then follow the clean boot procedure.
