    Correcting HDMI settings.

HDMI connection was working fine. Now not only do I have different images on my TV and my desktop, but I can find no way on my desktop to make changes. The curser does not show up and I can't bring up Settings. So, when I plug in the cable both images are frozen.

  2. HDMI SETTING

    Hi,

Since you have connected an HDMI device, the audio output on your computer should be set to HDMI. If you haven't set it yet, then follow the steps below:

    • Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop and to your TV.
    • Right-click the Volume icon located on the taskbar.
    • Click Playback Devices.
    • On the Sound window, select the HDMI Output, then click
      Set Default.
    • Click Appy, then OK.

Once done, check if the sound is now coming out from your TV.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Regards.

Why exactly is ATi considered be better at HDMI?

I plug my HDMI cable into the card, then into my TV. Those are the steps that I have to do. All the steps you list make absolutely no sense to me.

    PC to TV through HDMI

    Hi,

Have you tried to reconfigure your audio settings? If not, try to change your audio output settings to HDMI by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows ( ) key + X.
    • Select Control Panel.
    • Click Hardware & Sound.
    • Click Manage Audio Devices.
    • Select the HDMI device listed under the Playback tab.
    • Click Set as default and click Ok.

Also, we suggest to update your audio driver.

Let us know how it goes.
