Windows 10: Corrupt Recovery Partition

I have a Dell laptop, it came installed with support assist Software. I was trying to update the OEM windows recovery image (swm) but instead corrupted the partition. But I had made a copy of the partition using 'dd', now the support assist OS recovery option is again available in UEFI quick menu (I had to restore DellEFI.wim and EFI.wim) but whenever I try to boot into the recovery environment, It just shows a blue screen and no error code (I think it is WinPE). I partitioned the drive using diskpart script available in the recovery partition.

It happened once before but then I had the full diskp layout with uuids copied, any help is appreciated.

I think it has something to do with BSD file but I am not able to get it to work. Windows is not able to detect OEM partition but they are available in disk management and One has 'Image' as label and the other has 'DELLSUPPORT'.

How To: Create recovery partition.

it worked when i copied all the files of the disk to the recovery partition i created, but i had to use WinPE tab to add the entry.

Type: WIM Image (Ramdisk)
Name: Recovery
Path: Z:\Sources\boot.wim
and hit Add Entry
I tried it in VirtualBox and it worked.
At first, it would add a second "Windows 7" entry to the list, but when the installation is finished, the old one is deleted. (I formatted only C: partition)

Hello, I see that you are having issues with recovery partition. I would suggest you using the diskpart command in the command prompt. First, open up the comand prompt as an administrator, then type in diskpart. Now, type in list disk, and look for the

• Click Start menu.
• Type Recovery then choose Create a recovery drive.

Plug in an empty USB stick and follow the instructions that will be shown on the screen.
