Windows 10: Corrupt SD Card

    Corrupt SD Card


    I connected a SD card to my Windows 11 computer and it straight away corrupted the card, followed the "Unable to recover corrupt SD card/Raw file" it proceeded to format the card deleting all the data.Unfortunately before I realized I had a problem i ended up with two corrupted SD Cards one being destroyed, so What to do now?

    micro SD card corrupted?

    Does your SD card work if you connect it to your computer?

    If so, then what I would suggest is to backup it's content on your PC and format the SD card.

    Once it's backed up, format the SD card through the phone.

    Go to App List > Storage Sense > SD Card > Format SD Card to do that.

    Try this:

    If no go, I would suggest exchanging the Micro-SD adapter (if it came with it) and/or the card.

    My windows 10 PC's seem to be corrupting SD cards

    I know that you said that these are "perfectly good" SD cards, but are you SURE? I can think of no reason why Windows would seemingly corrupt these cards. My suggestion would be to verify by use of a utility, that the SD cards you are using are legit and not "fakes".
