Corrupted display on startup when upgrading to the latest edition of Windows 10

Hello all,I've recently upgraded a family member's computer to Windows 10 2004, or whichever is the latest at the time of writing.I've had to do a fresh install of Windows on the machine, and whenever I attempted to run the installer, the display looks like it is corrupted and the installation comes to a halt. I've got a USB that has a read/write light on it, and at this point, the light turns solid on, indicating that no read/write operations are happening.I've tried to find a way around by installing Windows 10 1709 which worked, however on updating the machine to the latest version of Windo

    :)

  3. Windows Upgrade and display problems

    Hello Mark,

We realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with display after upgrading to Windows 10. We will certainly help you.

This issue generally occurs due to corrupted or faulty device drivers on your system. Let's try updating the drivers and check if it helps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: I would suggest you to update your graphic card drivers and check if it helps.

You can update drivers from the Device Manager.

      • Right click on Start Menu and click on Device manager.
      • Select and expand Display adapter.
      • Right click on the Display device and select Update driver.

Step 2: If the issue still persists,
    uninstall and reinstall Graphic drivers.

    • Press Windows key + R key.
    • Type devmgmt.msc and press
      Enter
      .
    • In device manager go to display adapter.
    • Right click and uninstall.
After you uninstall the drives, I suggest you to reinstall the latest drivers from the manufacturing website and check.

Corrupted display on startup when upgrading to the latest edition of Windows 10

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
