  1. Corrupted Files in System File Checker

I have been dealing with this issue for several weeks with no resolution.

After running the System File Checker I keep receiving the following error:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

As stated, this has been going on for quite some time.

The timeline of events are as follows:

Transferred Windows from HDD to SSD

    Receiving stop error:

    driver irql_less_or_not_equal

Ran System File Checker; received corrupted file error

Ran DISM to check and restore health same error

    Ran CHKDSK same error

Formatted drive and reinstalled fresh version of Windows 10 same error

Requested assistance on forum and followed instructions no change

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/irql-error/d3276f01-f1e7-4faf-8fa1-b51b481cbdad?messageId=50fedd12-28a0-436e-b5c8-22b3aab6e919

Disabled Bluetooth and WIFI adapters in BIOS for ASUS TUF Gaming x570 Plus WIFI motherboard removed BSOD; same corrupt file error

Formatted drive again and inserted HDD from laptop no corrupt file error

Returned SATA SSD and replaced with m.2 SSD

Ran System File Checker again corrupt file error reappeared

Ran SFC and DISM in safe mode which appeared to fix the issue but upon running it again, the error came back.

    CBS.log file shows the following:

The store corruption status report is incomplete. [HRESULT = 0x80070002 - ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND]

DISM RestoreHealth was bring back an Error 87 as well

Received new issue where GPU drivers would not updating and received a Code error in Device Manager

    Received new stop error

    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Reinstalled GPU; still unable to update drivers and same corrupt file error

Changed GPU from 1650 Super to older 1050TI

Downloaded new drivers from Nvidia and received 7-Zip Data Error

System File Checker corrupted file still not resolved.

    :)

  2. Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:
    • Open WinRAR application in your system.
    • Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
    • A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
    • Now click Open button.
    • Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
    • Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
    • Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
    • Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
    • WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.
I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.

    Thanks.

Corrupted Files in System File Checker

    Need Vista SP1 32bit files.

Hey guys. I'm new to this forum, but noticed you had helped someone else get crucial vista files.

Some of my Vista files are appearing corrupted with I do a sfc /scannow, but a system repair and sytem file checker won't actually fix them so I'm going to have to do it myself.:shadedshu

Can some one give me these following files for Windows Vista SP1 32bit.

    • Explorer.exe
    • Aero.theme
    • Regedit.exe
    • notepad.exe
    • imageres.dll
    • calc.exe
    • spwhizimg.dll
Explorer.exe is the most crucial though. Thanks guys.
