Windows 10: Corrupted Mouse Cursor Win10

Every few days or so my mouse cursor will behave oddly in the sense that Windows will choose the wrong cursor. For example, on the desktop the cursor will change from the pointing hand, to the spinning wheel, to the scroll arrows, etc. I can still click everything, but the icon itself will occasionally change to a different incorrect icon. Also, when using forms, the icon will turn into two tiny "cross" shapes spaced out about an inch from each other. This makes the icon insanely difficult to see. Does anybody have a clue what might be causing this? Multiple virus scans show no issues and all mouse drivers are up to date.

No mouse cursor

Hi,

It is possible that the system did not recognize the mouse of your computer after it booted up. This can be the reason why you do not see the mouse cursor. Kindly perform a power cycle to refresh the power of the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

• Shutdown the computer.
• After shutting it down, remove the battery (if you're using a laptop) and disconnect the computer from the charger.
  
• Wait for 1 minute.
• After 1 minute, attach the battery and turn on the computer.
• Check if you will see the mouse cursor.
