Windows 10: Corrupted Properties Page on Explorer

This started happening since I installed Windows 20246.1 FE_Release. I have used QTTabBar, this might be the culprit.

UNUSABLE IE with massive page corruption, using chrome currently

Hi,

One of the possible reasons why this issue occurs is due to a corrupted Internet Explorer installed on your device. As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest that you turn off the Internet Explorer 11 features. To do this, follow these steps:

• Type in search Control Panel.
• Click Programs.
• Click Programs and Features.
• On the right side, click Turn Windows features on or off.
• Look for Internet Explorer 11 then uncheck it.
• Click OK then it will ask you to restart your PC.
• Click Restart now to apply changes.

Once done, repeat the steps provided above, and this time, check the
Internet Explorer 11 to enable its feature.

Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to uncheck Enable protected mode
option and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + R keys from the keyboard to open
  Run command.
• Type inetcpl.cpl in the Run window.
• This will open Internet properties window.
• Select Security tab and uncheck Enable Protected mode
• Click apply and ok
• Restart Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

Step 2: I suggest you to perform some of the troubleshooting steps from the link below link, Turn off add-ons, Reset Internet Explorer Settings, Open the page in Compatibility View etc. and check if it helps:

Microsoft Properties

Hi Greg,

I followed your Task Manager steps and restarted the computer but the issue was still there.

Then I went to the first link you suggested and saw the options available. I elected to go to Microsoft Support to see if they had any File Explorer options available and they did. I downloaded the Mighty File Explorer. Using it, I checked the Properties
of the external drive in question and it was able to see and list the size of the folder correctly! Thank you for your time. This solves the issue.
