    Corruption of Desktop screen.


    I scanned a Word document to my laptop computer, andthe document now appears in an opened “ghosted” form, in the background on myDesktop screen. The Desktop has taken on a white appearance, with all of theicon labels now being in white text. I carried out a System Restore, and gotthis message displayed:- “System Restore did not complete successfully. Yourcomputer’s system files and settings were not changed. Details: System Restorefailed to extract the file C:\Windows\WinSxS\Backup\amd64_microsoft-client-li..se-platform-service_31bf385from the restore point. The restore point was damaged or was deleted during therestore.”

    I would very much appreciate help in getting thisissue resolved.

    Screen corruption with X1300

    ...what do you mean by "screen corrupts"?. in any case, its a BAD thing, and I suggest you undo whatever overclock you have. you're doing nothing but hurting your VGA card by keeping it up higher then its supposed to be. bring your clocks down...WAY down, and then work you're way up slowly until you find the max stable MANUALLY. ATITool may be awesome, but if you're having problems with "screen corruption", then this card is an exception.

    win 10 update leaves vertical pink line on screen

    today i applied latest win 10 update and now i have a vertical pink line on screen, it remains on every screen. i have tried these fixes

    Step 1: I suggest you to run SFC scan,
    System File Checkeris a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Right click on the Start button, click on
      Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
      Enter.
    • After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.
    Step 2: Also, I suggest you to update the display drivers and check.

    Steps to Update the Display Adapter driver.

    • Press Windows key + Xkey when you are at desktop.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapter.
    • Right on the Display Adapter and click on
      Update driver software
    BUT i still have the line on screen.

    Programs not working

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
