Windows 10: Corsair 12VHPWR cable question

I planned to get a Corsair 12VHPWR cable rather than use the GPU vendor's 12VHPWR adapter due to messy cables. But then outside of the Steam Community, I was told that the cable is bad for the RTX 4080. Is that true?

Corsair RM650i Cables

My Corsair RM650i came with these two cables that I believe both are the link connectors that attach to motherboard. With the software I will be able to monitor performance, control fan speed from desktop and toggle single rail or multi rail (whatever that is). It says to use the USB header cable and connect to motherboard and other end to PSU, but the other cable states that IT'S the link connector in the manual?? *Shock Huh!?! Plus I don't have any tiny connector on my board. Are these cables used for the same thing? Also, I have 2 USB 2.0 ports on board. One is a 1112 and the other is 1314, which do I connect it to or does it matter? The motherboard (Asus Z170M-E D3) warns not to connect a 1394 cable into one of these ports... is that what this cable is?

Please reply to the follow questions to get a better understanding on the issue:

• What is the model number of your laptop?
  
• Do you have a yellow exclamation on the network icon after connecting the cat 7 cable?
  

However, you can follow the troubleshooting steps from
Fix network connection issues in Windows.

Also, I suggest you to check the laptop manual or laptop manufacturer to know whether the Ethernet port of your laptop supports cat 7 cable.

Modular Cables/Enermax Revolutions 85+ questions

I have a couple questions to anyone willing to flex their brains here on TPU. These questions are specifically related to the Enermax Revolution 85+ 1050W PSU:

• There is a Crossfire Certified and a SLI certified version of the Enermax Revolution 1050W. Is there a real difference?
• A few of my cables just aren't long enough. Is there a place online I can order modular cables for the Enermax Revolution 1050W? Is there a place I can buy 8 pin to 6+2pin entensions?
