Windows 10: corsair K95 Keyboard working abnormally after a windows update

Hello,Lately i had to reinstall my windows cause i noticed that my keyboard is behaving abnormally after a windows update. Sadly after reinstalation which led to another problem i fixed with the wondurous Microsoft support employe the problem returned confirming it as an issue with a certain windows update.Because of that to avoid another reinstalation i have uninstalled all the updates i could but sadly the issue still persists. However i think it was narrowed down to a certain driver update that gets forcefully applied after some time called SteelSeries ApS - SoftwareComponent - 1.2.0.0, I

With the Corsair K95 Platinum, the company introduces an upgraded microcontroller to the keyboard series which enables improved RGB lighting, dedicated macro keys and hardware playback. Also included is a lightbar and USB passthrough. The K95 Platinum doesn't come cheap though at $199.

Corsair Reveals K95 RGB Platinum Keyboard

Even though Corsair has already launched a K95 RGB Keyboard, the company apparently wasn't convinced that that was the best of what they could achieve; as such, Corsair has announced what they deem to be "the true successor to the K70: the K95 RGB Platinum.

This version features 8 MB of on-board memory to let owners save up to three profiles for lighting and macros, so that they are carried with your keyboard and you don't have to fiddle with the settings yet again if you change computers. There are now only 6 macro keys located on the left side of the keyboard, a step-down from the 18 offered in the previous K95 - but evey main key is now re-assignable, which means that you can do the same amount of work, without having those extra 12 keys taking up space and increasing the keyboard length . In terms of the ever-present lighting features, the K95 RGB Platinum features a lighting zone called LightEdge, which is located along the top edge of the keyboard. It's essentially a long strip of light created by 16 RGB LEDs, and you can program its lighting patterns and colors separately from the rest of the keyboard.











In addition, the K95 RGB Platinum has rubber feet, USB pass-through, a small space underneath the keyboard to manage cables, and a reversible wrist rest that has a different texture on each side. Similar to the old K95 RGB, the new keyboard will have a brushed aluminum frame, and will still use Cherry MX switches, namely, Cherry MX Speed (Silver) RGB and Cherry MX Brown RGB switches.

The K95 RGB Platinum will be available on January 22 for the hefty price of $199, in black or gunmetal brushed aluminum frame options.

Really? going from 18 to 6 is a sep up now? also, no dedicated profile keys. (not that important)

Otherwise its probably a good keyboard. guess its now is a true 24 bit color control, unlike the K70 RGB and K95 RGB that gets some trouble when set to 24 bit mode.

The only clear upgrade here is that the hole base now is one solid aluminum slab, unlike the K95 RGB where the macro keys have a plastic base, and the USB pas through.

For those that complain about the RGB part, you can set it to one colour and leave it there, or better yet not get it at all since its so expensive.
