Windows 10: Cortana not audibly responding

Cortana works for me, kind of. "Hey Cortana" always pop up her search window and everything I say gets transcribed but there is no audio. No chime when activated, no saying weather, nada on everything. The audio worked in build 9926 but not in 10041 or 10049. Any know of a fix for this? I thought I had seen something where there might have been an issue with Realtek drivers.

Cortana is inserting and saying "%20" between words in my name when I ask her "Who am I?"

I go into the Cortana Notebook --> "About Me" and type who I want Cortana to address me as. She says my name correctly in audible verification, but once I say "Cortana, who am I?" she displays and audibly states "%20" between the words in my name.

For instance, if I put Mark Watkins as my name, and then ask Cortana "Who am I?", Cortana will respond by typing and saying:

You are Mark%20Watkins.

If I use a comma, then "%2C" is inserted and spoken in that position as well.

(ie. with Mark, Watkins Cortana's response becomes, You are Mark%2C%20Watkins.)

I am using Windows 10 updated to the current version 1607.

Any help or enlightenment regarding this issue is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

On a side note, I think "Cortana" should be added to the list of Help Categories to choose from on this website.

 

Cortana will not answer when I say "Hey cortana"

When I say "Hey Cortana" I get its attention, but the only response I get is an audible tone that its ready to listen. Does Cortana not answer back? example: me="Hey Cortana" it="Yes, bob"

Can I change the audible tone to something else?

Can I have Cortana use my name that I gave her to call me more often? example: me= "set an alarm for 1:40pm" it= "An alarm for 1:40pm has been set, Bob"

 

I'm not getting a peep out of her either! Maybe that's a good thing! *Wink
I think they're re-programing her.

 

I'm not having any problem, she tells me the temperature(out loud) when asked she tells me the sky is up...etc.
