    Cortana not exist in app list start menu


    Cortana is working well, and it locked in the taskbar, but it doesn't show in the app list in the start menu. When I found the app with first letter "C", there's no Cortana and it makes me confused. Can anyone help me with this? :

    Hi,
    Why Cortana don't search hidden folder in Start Menu? I copied a folder that contains my portable apps shortcut, when I copy that folder to Start Menu folder [in ProgramData], Cortana lists that folder in Start Menu App List and Cortana search works but when I hide that folder [and hide from Start Menu App List, that I want to be hide in Start Menu App List] Cortana only shows my search result [for example, shows my portable app shortcut] but nothing work!!! when I click on portable app shortcut [that I put on that folder]. *Think

    START MENU,CORTANA,EDGE BROWSER AND IN-BUILT APPS NOT WORKING

    I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1: I suggest you to follow below steps and check.

    Step 1: I suggest you to install all the latest pending Windows updates as below and check if it helps.

    • Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
    • Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
    • Then once you find the pending updates install it and check.

    Step 2: I suggest you to run the app troubleshooter from the below article and check if it helps.
