Windows 10: Cortana pops up every time I move from one side of my mouse pad to the other.

How do I disable this HORRABLE feature? You should try using a 60 in tv screen with a bluetooth mouse/keyboard. Cortana pops up every 10 seconds! There MUST be a way to turn this off!

Cortana is feature in Windows 10, where it can serve as your search engine and a personal secretary at times. A lot of people find Cortana useful. If Cortana keeps on activating without any input, you can try to follow these steps below:

• You can turn off gestures that trigger Cortana. This is a track pad feature on your laptop that needs to be deactivated. To do this go to click
  Windows located the lower left part of your screen>> Settings>>
  Devices>> Mouse and touch pad>> Additional mouse options>> search for the option
  Three Finger Tap or Four Finger Tap>> You need to turn off or
  disable these options.
• Turn off "Hey Cortana", To do this please follow these steps:

• Click Cortana and Search settings.
• Look for Hey Cortana option.
• Turn the option Off.

3. Turn off Taskbar tidbits, please follow the steps below:

• Go to Search field, type Cortana.
• Click Cortana and Search settings.
• Look for Taskbar tidbits option.
• Turn the option Off.

Please reply: What happens when you try disabling the mouse pad? Do you receive any error message?

You can also disable your mouse pad by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right-click on the Mouse driver and click on Disable.
• A prompt will appear, click yes.

I would also suggest you update the driver from the device manager.

I tried what was suggested but it kept going back to the same problem. I realized when I rolled back the driver it was disabling the elan mouse pad and going back to the ps/2 mouse pad . So I uninstalled the elan mouse pad and the problem was solved.
