    Cortana takes 30-40% of CPU after recent update. Any fixes?


    As been noted in many articles Cortana frying my laptop/Surface.

    30-40% CPU usage on some trigger (it not like this from start).

    Any possibility to disable Cortana under Win10?

    "System compressed memory" Use 40% CPU all the time

    Count me in as another in which this system and compressed memory issue taking up 40% memory regardless of the fixes listed in this and similar threads.

    The bonus kicker for me is that DWM.exe (windows desktop manager) is hogging up 30-50% of the CPU on a continual basis and it leaves me with a painful experience.

    On an HP ENVY with decent enough specs.

    Get this fixed Microsoft or i'm turning coat and going apple

    After update 1607 - how do I fix my WMI Provider (hpqwmiex.exe - HP Software Framework WMI Service) is constantly eating 30-40% of my cpu.

    Immediately after WIN 1607 update, my WMI Provider process continually eats 30-40% of my CPU. The event viewer shows nonstop errors being generated for process ID of hpqwmiex.exe - HP Software Framework WMI Service. Recommended to remove or is
    there a fix?
