Windows 10: Cortana voice input problem

After saying " open control panel" to cortana , it displays "opening" forever, will never open control panel. Have tested other windows app such as "On screen keyboard", the result is the same.

Problems with Cortana

Hello!

I have a new HTC One (M8) Windows phone. I really DO like the phone a lot.

The problem I am experiencing is with Cortana - the application is good for one or two questions then it stops reacting to voice input. I deactivate / reactivate it, Cortana comes back for a few more questions, but then stops reacting again.

Secondly, though there is a male voice available, regardless if it is selected or not, Cortana uses the default female voice.

OS version 8.10.14176.243

What happens if you type that? The same?

Did that use to work? Or has it just stopped working?

Have you upgraded your PC to a later Win 10 build recently?
(FWIW I can confirm it works for me on Win 10 15063)

Can you open the control panel by e.g.
Settings
search for control
Click Control Panel

or Windows key + R
type control (return)?
