Windows 10: Cortana?

I seem to have no use for Cortana and was wondering if there was a way to prevent it from starting??

When I go to Task Manager and end the task it reopens immediately.

I have no use for this and it's tasking up resources.

Win10 Pro Education

Sorry, there is no upgrade path from Education to Professional. You would have to do a clean install of Windows 10 Pro.

If you want to downgrade to the Windows 10 Pro edition, you will need to perform a clean install and you will need a unique product key to install it. The Windows 10 Pro Edu or Windows 10 Education key will not activate Windows 10 Pro.

If you don't have a license for Windows 10 Pro, you will either need to request it from the institution you got Windows 10 Education; or you will have to purchase a license for Pro, then perform a clean install.

Where did the settings option in Cortana's notebook go?

To get to Cortana's Notebook:

• Then, select Menu, select Notebook.

Its using zero percent of my CPUs when not in use, what resources is it using (would guess Win 10 has to start it every time)

 

I guess it's not hurting anything.

 

I do not have a Mic so it is of no use to me.

 

I found an old mic in my parts box, hooked it up and it works great, just adjusted the volume and noise suppersion in Contana.

Commands by voice are the way to go, I get my Cubs schedule, scores, searches on my HD and website lookups this way.

 

I don't use Cortana, but at 0% CPU usage and 0% RAM usage, it does not bother me. Why does it bother you JamesJoey?
