    hii understand that certain pop ups can be malicious, but what about a pop up from mcaffee, which i have installed on my laptop?the pop up didnt come on the internet, i opened my laptop, logged into my user account for the laptop, and it came up at the bottom right side of the screen, on the front page of the laptop, so before opening the internet. Also the pop up was telling about some feature of macaffee and there were two options, 'get protection' and 'remind me later', so i pressed remind me later. my question is, is there any chance this type of pop up can be malicious? because those were

    Apologies for the late reply.



    Do you remember installing any break reminder software?



    It looks like it is a pop up from a break reminder software.



    I suggest you to look for this in Programs in features and uninstall it if do not use it.



    Try the following steps:


    • Press Windows + R keys to open Run Command

    • Type Appwiz.cpl and hit enter

    • Search for the programs and un-install it.

    • Are you referring to email notifications ?

    Have you tried to enable the option to send reminders via web calendar? If not yet, please follow these steps and check if it helps.

    3. Under Turn notifications on or off tick the button beside
    Get notifications (reminders, changes to calendars, and daily summaries).


    Furthermore, please set the date of reminders of your calendar by following these steps:

    2. Select any of your calendar on the left pane.

    3. Under Notifications click Add a reminder then follow the on-screen instructions.

    Note: If a reminder is already configured you can just edit the time of notification.
