Windows 10: Could Microsoft make task bar battery icon on a laptop go red & flash when battery level is...

Please would Microsoft make it possible for the task bar battery icon on a laptop to go red & flash whenever the battery level is below 40% or over 80%? That would make it so much easier to reduce inadvertent battery damage by getting a warning as to every time you need to start or stop battery charging via mains switch on and off and so lengthen the battery life.

Windows 10 has a feature to personalize your task bar icons. To retrieve the missing battery icon on your taskbar, kindly follow the steps below:

• Right click on the taskbar and select Settings.
• Under Notification Area, click Turn system icons on or off.
• Look for Power and toggle Power to On. Your battery icon should appear in the system tray again.

Somehow my battery icon disappeared from the taskbar. How do I get the battery icon back on the task bar?

 

Laptop Battery

I have an old Acer Travelmate 270 which works pretty dam well (extra 512mb ram), but my issue is that the battery does not seem to like windows. It will work in windows fine, until I loose power from the battery. The problem is that the inbuilt windows icon that sits on my task bar shows the laptop as being on mains power even when it is running soley off the battery. The only indication that the battery is charged comes from the little status light. Please help as I always loose power when I least expect it, or even want it. *Bang Head :banghead:

Edit: In Power Options, it recognises that I use a laptop, as it has the option of what to do when I close the lid on my portable computer (laptop). This is really confusing me now, as it recognises that I have a laptop, just doesnt not seem to acnowlage that it is either capebal or even has a battery. *Frown
