Could my "new" gtx 1060 actually be used?

    Hi,

I recently got a Dual GTX 1060 6GB from micro center:

    http://www.microcenter.com/product/467997/GeForce_GTX_1060_Overclocked_Dual-Fan_6GB_GDDR5_Video_Card

The box was in perfect condition but 2 things bug me:
1-The box had a circular clear sticker on the edge but it was not holding the box closed (it was only on one the main body of the box and not overlapping on the flap )
2-The motherboard was in an anti-static bad which was closed only by a piece of tape

    The GPU looks...

  2. No sound after upgrading to GTX 1060 (using HDMI cable/dual monitors)

    Hello,

So yesterday I've bought a GTX 1060 6GB (MSI version) and replaced my old GT 730. So previously I used DVI and VGA for my monitors (as I didn't have a HDMI port on old GT 730). And now I'm using HDMI on one of my monitor and DVI on the other one.
Right after upgrading to GTX 1060 I've understood that I have no sound on my SPEAKERS and so far nothing has helped. I'll post a list of the things I've already did (which is about 5 pages of Google search all over)
    • Tried plugging in only one monitor (the one with DVI) - still no sound.
    • Replaced my GPU into another slot on my motherboard - still no sound.
    • Uninstalled/Reinstalled/Deleted/Disabled/Removed drivers and devices from Device Manager - still no sound.
    • Have my Speakers as default on Sound options menu

(the green bars are moving when I try to play something) - still no sound.
    • REINSTALLED WINDOWS and did everything above from the beginning - sitll no sound.
    • Enabled onboard sound card in BIOS - still no sound.
    • Updated all the drivers - still no sound.
    • Might have forgotten some other steps I did, but I've tried almost everything I could find on the Google search.

Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

New gtx 1060 causing major screen distortion

I just bought a new gpu and psu for my prebuilt Lenovo ideacentre. I'm new to PC gaming and this was my first time working on one. Before installing the new gpu I unstialled the drivers for my gt 730 using DDU. The install went well and I was excited to
start gaming on a 1060. As I was installing the latest drivers midway through the installation my screens colors got very distorted and started tearing. After uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers multiple times I got discouraged. Thinking it was a faulty
gpu I plugged in my old gpu that I knew worked. The same issue happened. I have tried every driver on nvidias website for the new gpu and nothing seems to fix it. My screen still looks like this Imgur

I'm running windows 10. My motherboard is whatever comes with the Lenovo ideacentre. I've got a i5 j6400 CPU. 550 watt cordair psu. And of course the gtx 1060. I don't know if I just messed something up or not. Before I even bought the gpu I practiced taking
out and putting in the gt 730 to make sure I knew how. I would really appreciate some help with this. I spent around 350 dollars to basically ruin my computer. Any solution would be greatly appreciated.
