Windows 10: Could not enable file history - parameter is incorrect

Dear Support,I cannot enable file history and keep getting the infamous error "Could not enable file history - the parameter is incorrect" I have tried using services to restart file history, windows backup, windows search etc. without any luck..In the file history configuration folder I cannot find the config1 and config2 xml files as well.. and I have tried to restart the services in hope they will be recreated but it has not worked.Please note my pc name has not changed.Windows backup works fine the issue is only with file history.Will be grateful for any solutions !

Receiving "The hosted network couldn't be started. The parameter is incorrect." message is usually received if the virtual adapter is disabled when enabling a hosted network. Try enabling the virtual adapter in Device Manager and check if
it helps.

Here's how:

• Press the Windows key + X, and then click Device
  Manager.
• Click on View, and then Show hidden devices.
• Under Network adapters, you will see a virtual adapter.
  Right-click on it, and then click Enable.

I have windows 10 professional on my laptop, when I insert a 400 gb microsd card and try to enable bitlocker on it, it says the parameter is incorrect. The file system is Exfat. thanks.
