    Hi,

    I would like to install a Perl script-based CIRCOS software for windows 10. But I could not use bash command for installation. I am getting an error when using the command "bash test.modules"


    Command prompt:

    'bash' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

    powershell:

    bash : The term 'bash' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.

    At line:1 char:1

    + bash .\test.modules

    + ~~~~

    + CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: bash:String [], CommandNotFoundException

    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : CommandNotFoundException



    How to solve this issue?

    PowerShell instead of Commandline in Creators Update

    Interestingly enough my personal laptop just got the update...and still has Command Prompt listed, not PowerShell...

    Edit: Not that it matters...I use both regularly. *Toast :toast:

    Uninstall Photo app by using Powershell command

    Hi Lorraine,

    Thank you for posting your response.

    I apologize for the miscommunication. Follow the steps below and check if that helps.


    • 1. Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell in the search bar.

      2. Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.

      3. Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.

      • get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage ( check the spacing)
    After performing the above steps, install the Photo app from the Windows store.
