Windows 10: Couldn't add more sharing options app on sharing button

Dear friends,

I would like to see more apps than facebook, mail etc. when I click on the sharing button in Windows.
I have tried the both options on the following website but it didn't helped, I can't see the sharing button in settings.

Share button is gray in Windows 10

  Are you trying to share from an Admin account? Because the share option might be greyed out due to administrative privileges.
  

Method 1

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• 
  Type This PC in the search bar and hit enter.
  
• 
  Right click on a drive you want to share.
  
• 
  Select share with.
  
• 
  Select Advanced sharing.
  
• 
  Check the box share this folder and click on permissions.
  
• 
  Set permissions according to you and click on
  apply and ok.
  

If the issue still prissiest, try Method 2,

Method 2

• 
  Open an elevated command prompt. (Right click on start button and select command prompt admin)
  
• 
  Type takeown /U %username% /F %USERPROFILE% /R /SKIPSL (You may also need the /P <password>
  
• 
  Once that completes type cacls %USERPROFILE% /T /E /G %USERNAME%:F
  

This should force you to be the owner of everything in your profile and grant you full access.

Trouble sharing from windows 10 photo app

When I click the share button in photos, I get message that I don"t have app to share pictures. I do not get a list of places to share.

 

Removing Read Only from shared files

Hi fink52,

This issue might occur if you have not given full control to the folder, when you share it with everyone. I suggest you follow the below steps and check if it helps:

• Right-click the folder.
• Select Properties.
• Click on Sharing tab.
• Click on Advanced Sharing button.
• Put a check mark next to the Share this folder option.
• Click the Permission button.
• Put a check mark next to the Full control option.
• Click on Apply, then click OK.
