Windows 10: Couldn't connect to your device. Try to reconnect through the action center.

Greetings,

I have have a Lenovo P51 Laptop, with a built-in NVIDIA Quadro M2200. Ever since I had the PC I can in no way project my screen to an external display. I have tried all the suggestions I could find online to no avail. I just receive the "Couldn't connect to your device. Try to reconnect through the action center." I am trying to connect to a Samsung TV.

On the other hand I can cast from the chrome browser. All my colleagues with the same built-in graphics card can't connect as well to the external display.



Can someone please assist with this issue, it has been driving me mad for the last 1 month or so.

Action Center

Hi,

Let's follow these steps to disable action center:

• Click on Start, type notifications in the search box.
• In the list, select notifications & action settings.
• On the right side, click on turn system icons on or off.
• Turn off action center from there.

Add the Touch Keyboard Icon to the Action Center

Adding the touch keyboard on the items in Action Center is currently not available in Windows 10. However, you can change the settings to automatically show the touch keyboard when you use the device in tablet mode. If you'd like to do this, you can
follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Open Settings.
• Select Devices.
• Go to Typing.
• Under Touch keyboard settings, switch on Automatically show the touch keyboard in windowed apps when there’s no keyboard attached to your device.
