Windows 10: Countless Virus Alerts on My Computer please help

Hi, I've been receiving lots of Vrius Alerts on my Surface Laptop and they seem to just keep popping up even when I ignore them. It's been going on for the past 30 minutes. Should I download it? It seems to be coming from Google Chrome. Several others are also coming fomr McAfee. I haven't touched any of the notifications but the crazy amount notifications I'm getting in such a short amount of time is scaring me. Some people I talked to say it's a scam but I want to make sure. Please help. Thank you!

virus alert

defender finds a virus, quarantined the virus. I remove all the quarantined viruses. the threat alert pm the bottom right of the screen slices over with the same virus alert. I remove the quarantined virus.. the alert alerts again. this keeps repeating.
the virus is "Bruser modifier Win 32/Polteci

i think me computer has a virus when i start it up there are no short cuts or task bar( thing with the start button) any suggestions on how to fix it? thanxs
