Windows 10: Cowin E7/s not working on Windows 10

Cowin E7/s not working on Windows 10

This is a possible solution in reference to "P4CK A PUNCH" question (Redirecting) which worked for me in regards to Cowin E7's not working on Windows 10/11. The Cowin E7's (When paired to Windows) show up as two playback devices:

1) E7 Hands-Free AG Audio

2) E7 Stereo

As well as one recording device:

1) E7 Hands Free AG Audio

By default, the "E7 Stereo" is for playback of computer audio, and "E7 Hands-Free AG Audio" is for playback/mic for meetings / audio recordings. When you are in a meeting or recording, the "E7 Stereo" is muted and the "E7 Hands-Free AG Audio" plays. The setup I desired was to use "E7 Stereo" for both playback on computer audio and meetings without the mic option. I use my camera for my mic. I didn't want my audio on my computer muted while in a meeting, so here's the setup that worked for me:





In Windows 10, looking at your taskbar on right, right-click on the sound icon and choose "Sounds" to open the old version of sound management:





In the Recording Tab, right-click on "E7 Hands-Free AG Audio" and disable it. In the Playback Tab, right-click on "E7 Hands-Free AG Audio" and disable it. You should be able to click "OK" and be able to have meetings / play computer audio without issue.

Cowin E7 microphone muffled on Win 10 and 11, but not on my phone.

I've had this issue for a while. I have a Cowin E7 Bluetooth headset. On Windows 10 and 11 the microphone sounds muffled. I can hear myself but it sounds pretty bad. Audio from other sources is just fine. When I connect my headset to my android phone the microphone is crystal clear! This leads me to believe this is a problem with windows. I was not able to find any drivers for this headset on the Cowin site or by doing a google search. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
