Windows 10: CPU Change With Activated TPM in Windows 11

Dear Microsoft Community,Situation:I recently replaced my old CPU Ryzen 5 2600 with a Ryzen 5 5600, see system information belowFailed to consider that TPM was activated; I did not use TPM for BitLocker/drive encryptionThe first boot up showed the following message:Initially, I pressed N, which resulted in a re-boot that left me with the same message. Then, I followed the recommendation stated in several online forums and pressed Y important to note: Z on a German keyboard. Windows activation error

Hi Brandon,

Before replacing the Mother Board if Windows 10 was activated, then you can refer the steps/link below for activating Windows 10.

The only hardware changes that can negatively impact activation status once you upgrade to free version are the changes to the:

• CPU
• TPM
• Motherboard replacement

The following changes are examples of hardware changes that will NOT impact the activation status:

• HDD/SSD
• Video card
• Adding extra memory

If you replace the CPU, TPM, or Motherboard you may have to re-activate but this will not require a purchase of Windows 10.

This is the CPU I have in the Medion Akoya Notebook / laptop



That's the reason why I cant use Windows 11 on Medion Akoya, unless I have the CPU changed to one that is on the list of Intel i3 Core.
