    CPU Clock Speed locks to 0.39 Ghz while gaming


    This issue has been consistent for months now. and after some tests which I mentioned in my older posts. it circles down to a windows 11 issue. I have a - HP Pavilion Gaming - Ryzen 5 4600H - GTX 1650 TI- 8 GB DDR4 3200 MHz RamIt is currently running the latest build of Windows 11 but this issue has started occuring since 23H2. The CPU does not throttle as my setup has room for ample airflow through the laptop vents and this was confirmed after checking the temperature with respect to the clock speed. the Throttle occurs only while the Discrete GPU is being used. after contacting microsoft sup

    CPU Clock speed locked at 0.79GHz

    Hi, I have an i7-4500U CPU and for the last few months my system starts at full speed (2.39GHz) but as soon as the CPU goes below 30% utilisation after startup, the system locks the clock speed to 0.79GHz even when the fan is off. The CPU temperature is
    around the 50degree C mark, therefore should be allowing the processor to go up to full clock speed.

    I've changed the power settings to set the minimum clock speed to 50%, but that has made no difference.

    Low CPU Speed While Gaming on Battery Mode

    Hi, so the problem started recently on my laptop. My CPU speed when not gaming is around 2.3 GHz and above. However, whenever I play a game, my CPU clocks down to 0.79 GHz and stays there until I close the game. I also checked my temperature while gaming, which is around 60 °C. I tried changing the maximum processing unit to both 100% and it still didn't work. But if I plug a 300W AC adaptor into my laptop, the CPU speed goes up to 4 GHz. Is there any fix for low CPU clock speed while gaming on battery mode?

    CPU clock speed drops to 0.39ghz when playing any games

    When I run any somewhat demanding games my CPU's clock speed drops to 0.39ghz or some insanely low clock speed and my fps fluctuates between like 1 and 140(mostly around 1-30 fps.) But this only happens when my laptop is plugged in, when the laptop is unplugged while running the same games, my fps is capped at 30 no matter what I do.
