  1. CPU Clock Speed Shows as 0 GHz in Task Manager – While Other Tools Report Normal Speeds

I've noticed that Windows Task Manager sometimes reports the CPU clock speed as 0 GHz, even when the system is under full load CPU usage at 100%. At the same time, HWMonitor shows each P-core and E-core running above 1 GHz, so the CPU is clearly active and not in an idle state. Has anyone else experienced this discrepancy between Task Manager and other monitoring tools? Is this a known issue or possibly a bug?

    :)

  2. AMD Ryzen 3 3300x - Task Manager not Displaying Correct Clock Speed

I recently built a computer with an AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, and I'm having the problem where in AMD Ryzen Master, the clock speeds fluctuate and boost normally to the respective 3.8 gHz and 4.3 gHz, however in task manager it seems as though the CPU is locked
at 4.0 gHz. I've made sure to reset all settings such that no overclocking of the CPU takes place. I've turned off all overclocking settings in the BIOS and was wondering if this was a windows visual bug or if the clock speed read by windows is actually only
    4.0.

    Thank you in advance,

  3. Abnormally slow CPU speed in Windows 10 Task Manager, with virtualization disabled

In Windows 10 Pro Task Manager, CPU speed shows a constant and unchanging value of 1.18GHz, while nominal CPU speed is 2.50 GHz. Dual Intel Xeon E5-2680 v3, on a Intel S2600CW2S server board.

Per this question, I turned off CPU virtualization in the BIOS. After rebooting, my CPU speed increased back to its typical, fluctuating normal range (~3.0 GHz, not overclocked). System performance on timed tasks indeed much faster than when CPU speed showed 1.18 GHz.

Unfortunately, with the next boot cycle, the CPU speed decreased back to 1.18 GHz.

During the single work day that the CPU speed was back to normal, I installed Bitdefender 2016 and ran a system scan. I also installed Visual Studio 2015. I hesitate to speculatively uninstall: how could either of these applications conceivably degrade steady-state CPU speed, in the same way as a processor BIOS setting?

In Control Panel / Power Options, I verified that I have the High Performance plan selected, with minimum Processor state set at 100%.

I went back to the system BIOS, and cycled virtualization on and off again (with intervening reboot). No change, still stuck at the lower speed. Google search shows that 1.18GHz is a common problem. There seem to be many ad hoc folk cures out there, but none worth repeating here.

Any assistance or suggestions appreciated, please.

  4. CPU Clock Speed Shows as 0 GHz in Task Manager – While Other Tools Report Normal Speeds

    Task manager cpu speed

So my task manager shows 1.50 ghz speed, even if i open a ton of apps, its usually below that but when i try to max it out it only caps at 1.5 ghz. And it shows the max seed is 1.8 ghz yet i can go more than 5 ghz,

    My pc specs:

Dell inspiron 14 5410, i7 1196G7. 12 gb ram with 2.9 ghz to 5 ghz speed and intel iris xe graphics.

    PLS REPLY ASAP
