Windows 10: Cpu goes 100% but when i open task manager drops to 2%.

i have a ryzen 5 2600 and 4 cores are always 100% and temps are 41-45 . when i open task manager usage drops to normal 1-2% idle and temps to 30 C. when i close it same thing happens again. I think is a mining virus. How can i detect it and delete it if thats the case? i tried malewarebytes and other antispyware and windows defender and nothing came up. i did the cmd commands i saw to your other post. i am clueless . can you help me?

You said 'before', but I believe you are speaking of the instant you open Task Manager (unless you are monitoring cpu use with

another program). If so...

As long as the cpu drops quickly, there is nothing wrong with seeing 100% flash up immediately upon opening Task Manger.

This is normal. Mine does the same, and drops down to where should be relative to what is running (about 2% atm) within about 8 sec.

I believe it is normal, the CPU being used to open task manager completely, then once opened goes back down. My computer does the same so if not normal waits to hear also. Just opened Task Manager and it was 89% then quickly dropped.

I could maybe buy that the processor might spike to 100% for a moment while opening task manager. But that still doesn't explain why the processor is running at 100%
before I open it. Mind that the computer is just idle. If I leave task manager open my CPU never goes over 5% while idle which definitively shows that having task manager open is preventing the CPU from going over.
