  1. CPU keeps dropping clock speeds

Hello all,I recently got an issue where while gaming my CPU will keep randomly dropping from it's normal clock speed 3.9-4.2 Ghz all the way down to 400 mhz. Video Note: Sorry for low quality i had to set it low so my computer wouldn't crash when it dipped to 400 mhz.I've been trying to fix it but just don't know how.Specs:Computer: Lenovo ideapad Gaming 3CPU: Ryzen 5600HMotherboard: Lenovo LNVNB161216RAM: 16 gigs DDR4 @ 3200 mhzGPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 mobile max-qOS Build: 19045.3208I have the minimum processor state set to 50% in my power planThis has been happening for about 3 week

    :)

  3. CPU Clock speed locked at 0.79GHz

Hi, I have an i7-4500U CPU and for the last few months my system starts at full speed (2.39GHz) but as soon as the CPU goes below 30% utilisation after startup, the system locks the clock speed to 0.79GHz even when the fan is off. The CPU temperature is
around the 50degree C mark, therefore should be allowing the processor to go up to full clock speed.

I've changed the power settings to set the minimum clock speed to 50%, but that has made no difference.

    CPU keeps dropping clock speeds

CPU and GPU clock speeds drop under load

I'm having a weird problem with my laptop where, every few seconds during playing high-load games, the CPU and GPU both drop speed sharply for a second, causing a big slowdown in framerate. (For instance, the CPU speed will suddenly drop from about 3.4 GHz
to less than 0.8 GHz). At the same time, the screen's brightness will dip as well, which suggests to me that it's related to my power settings. It also seems to happen more frequently when I'm charging a low battery than when the battery is full - I've even
had it happen while streaming video when I'm charging from a low battery.

I've tried switching my power plan settings so that everything is the same for "On battery" and "Plugged in", which solves the brightness changing but does not solve the speed drop. I've also tried monitoring the temperatures of the GPU and CPU but they never
seem too high. I've tried clean installs, updating drivers, etc. I don't have anything overclocked. I've had the laptop for a about a year and the problem is quite new, and seems to be getting worse.

    System:

    Gigabyte P55 WR7 notebook

    Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.8GHz

    16 GB RAM

    NVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
