    Cpu run at full speed

Hello guys i have a pro lem with my cpu.

    The cpu is AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+ 2.5 GHz.

My cpu run at full 2.5GHz and that make my cpu usage 100%.

I went to bios to se if the cpu was overclocked but it was actually set to auto.

I tried to set it to 2.1 GHz and it worked.

But actually if i set the bios overclock cpu at auto it makes my cpu run only at 2.5GHz that is the full speed.

Is there a way to repair this?

    :)

CPU not running in full speed in Windows 10

    Hello,

Windows 10 may have encountered a system conflict that caused this issue. For us to help you with this concern, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you made any recent changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • What is the current build and version of your Windows 10? To check type in
winver on the search bar and press Enter.
    • Aside from clean installations, what other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you run Windows 10 on
    Safe mode
and check the CPU performance if there will be any changes.

We'll be waiting for your reply.

CPU not running in full speed in Windows 10

I am experiencing the same problem reported by mkroshana.

I have a Samsung laptop with the Intel i7-3517U CPU.
It shows a base speed of 2.40 GHz and an actual speed of .79 GHz.
I have tried so many suggested 'fixes' that I couldn't relate them all.
Here are several things I have discovered - mostly through browsing the internet:

    1) I can use the Device Manager to change the Processor drivers (1 for each core) from the 'Intel Processor' to the 'Processor' (picked from driver list) and I get a steady CPU speed of 2.40 GHz.
This is a fixed processor speed and my system is dramatically faster.

    2) If I use the 'Intel Processor' for the 4 cores, I get a boosted speed ranging well over the 2.40 GHz for approximately 1 minute following boot-up, after which it fades to a steady .79 GHz - never to vary from that regardless
of the load on the system (I have run stress tests).

    3) If I use the 'Intel Processor' for the 4 cores and boot up in 'safe mode' I get what I suspect is the proper performance of the CPU - over 2.40 GHz when stressed and well below that when not.
This performance behavior does not go away with time.

    4) I have installed temperature reporting software on my system - CAM from NZXT - and it reports CPU temperature at a fairly steady 50 - 60 Deg C, depending on the stress I put on the system.
This is well below the maximum rating for the CPU of 110 Deg C.

I did not have this problem before I migrated from Win 8.1 to Win 10, but I do not know when, after the upgrade, the problem began to occur.

    Cpu run at full speed

    CPU Running at half speed

Sound like power saving feature EIST "Enhanced Intel Speed Step technology", it kicks the mutiplier down when the CPU is not under load.

If you run CPUz and kick off Prime95, You should see the CPU at full speed.

To turn off, you can usually find the feature in BIOS and enable/disable
