    Cracking noise, disable sound card power saving


    Hello,
    I started to have cracking noise randomly. After months no problem. I already tried linux and other headphones. I am out of options.

    How to disable sound card power management?! If it is even possible... My motherboard: asus z390-i gaming. Sound card: ROG SupremeFX 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC S1220A. I heard it may cause the issue. I don't have anything in device manager under sound driver and in BIOS no saving feature under onboard devices and other as well as far as i can tell...

    I found one video, which says there is some folder in current user/software/realtek. But that's missing, so it is doubful, it would work for other sound card.

    cracking noise when playing video or movie in windows 10,repairing drivers change nothing.

    When using linux the sound is perfect.

    lumia 1520 speaker cracking noise

    I just got my new lumia 1520 yesterday, but when I'm playing with it, i discover that there's a small cracking noise (sounds like a "pa", very short) when I start playing a track, or ending a track, or even after the wake up/lock sound. In short, everything

    Nope, it either disables it automatically or you have 2 sound cards installed.

    Besides that you could try to use a decent topic title as suggested in the guidelines.
