Windows 10: Crackly Windows 10 system microphone

When I do meetings on Zoom, everyone always says my microphone is very crackly so they struggle to hear me. I checked my driver updates but it said there were no updates. Then I checked updates in general but there also were not any. Can you please help me fix this problem. Thank you.

Crackly microphone

Hello, when I attempt to use the microphone, it's really crackly. Specifically, I've noticed this using Zoom. Others are distracted by the sound quality. I've already tried updating the microphone drivers, and I've had no luck. My speakers/listening quality
is fine. What else do I do?

 

Crackly Webcam Microphone

In the past, when she commented that the webcam was crackly, I would switch over to the LifeChat and she would comment that it was clear.

As of now I have just tested both inputs on Camera app on Video and also on Audacity because I can test the quality for myself. The webcam remains crackly on both and yet if I use the LifeChat on both apps it is perfect.

Please note that when doing a microphone test, The blue showing on the bar for the webcam is insignificant whereas it is vigorous on the LifeChat.

Have you tested out a separate microphone and asked your skype partner if it sounded better?

It may be that the sound is still crackly but feels ok to your skype partner as it boils down to personal preference.
