Windows 10: crash during update, BCD error 0xc0000098

So yesterday I updated my computer. I had some chores to do so I didn't see what happened but I assume it crashed during the update process. When I try to boot my computer I get this bluescreen that says "system thread exception not handled"After restarting my pc I get a different bluescreenPressing F1 just get's me back to this same bluescreen. So using my second PC I created a windows USB stick for recovery. But when I do "bootrec /rebuildbcd" it fails.sorry for the german cmd, my windows install is german. But it basically says that it found a windows install in c:, but when I hit yes it sa

The the 0xc0000098 error can appear due to a corrupted BCD (Boot Configuration Data) file. This can be due to a change in the hardware. There is also a possibility that Windows files or the hard drive was damaged on some cases. In this case, we suggest to boot
from windows 10 installation disc and kindly follow the steps provided by

Recovery tool for \BCD ERROR CODE:0xc0000098

I have a HP Pavilion and since upgrading to win10 during Boot it freezes and I get the message FILE: \BCD with a ERROR CODE:0xc0000098 and it says I need a recovery tool, at that screen i hit esc. then enter and it boots up and runs perfect. how do I get
the recovery tool and fix the BCD file?
